That's a desert-island disc for me.  (More for the Fourth Symphony than the First, but they're both great.)

Sergey Schepkin's recordings of Bach's Partitas on Ongaku (can't readily find decent images).

Have long enjoyed these. He's recently re-recorded the Partitas (the French Suites too) on Steinway & Sons, and I'll have to hear them.
