mikeweil
The reissue of the out of print first volume of Cocset's recording of Barrière's cello sonatas. Beautiful music, wonderfully performed by Cocset and his group, and excellently recorded. Highly recommended!

soulpope
Motivated by forum member "HutchFan"  .... : Kudos for the outstanding Bavarian brass and Marjorie Thomas is just perfect in her fourth-movement solo .... recorded "live" in 1967 with very good sound (captured by german radio) .... as this dates from around the same time as the studio Mahler 3 mentioned by "HutchFan" comparisons are inevitable - both accounts are excellent, probably the live athmosphere injects even more energy to the swift conducting of Rafael Kubelik - but both versions not to be missed at all ....
