Now Scarlatti from this box:

Marcelle Meyer was the fastest hand ever among classical pianists, knew no technical imits but never sounds like showing off. She simply played the music. Even the pieces Stravinskij dedicated to Rubinstein and Horowitz that they avoided but did not admit that they found them too hard to play. Highly recommended!

Agreed, her Scarlatti performances are stunning ....

Wow.  Really?  I would never use those words to describe Ameling.  I think she's an INCREDIBLE Schubert singer.  One of the greatest.

I guess we all hear with different ears.

That's what i meant ... GOOD, .. decent isn't the right word. I am Dutch, so there can be language barrier for me. Does that reassure you ? 😜

O.K.  . . .  But it's really not an issue if you're only mildly impressed by her.   I really do believe that we all experience music differently.  Comparing notes & differing impressions is part of the fun of this forum.

Just saying.  :)

That makes sense, for sure.  ;)

I understand ... completely.

Ameling is a perfect schubert performer (Subjectively and objectively) with a female touch . Nice and airy. Same Zodiac sign as Schubert !!!
