ghost of miles Posted January 6, 2016 Report Posted January 6, 2016 A quick and cursory list that I posted on the Night Lights site... would be curious to see other's lists and choices as well: Best Historical Releases 2015: The Year The Seventies Broke Quote
soulpope Posted January 6, 2016 Report Posted January 6, 2016 Independently of the discussion regarding its origins, me believe a 2015 reissue list is supposed to include Sonny Rollins " Complete Live At The Village Vanguard 1962" .... Quote

Monterose - Live in Albany 1979 (expanded) * * *1/2 haven't come around to playing the Condon/Freeman Mosaic, the Castro is on its way by now ... guess I was somewhat underwhelmed by the Wes and JR, the later surely a case of exalted expectations, but it's just not as great as I'd hoped, I feel ... but then I've not revisited it often after the first less than great impression ... gmonahan Posted January 6, 2016 Report Posted January 6, 2016 Seemed like I saw a fairly sour review somewhere of the Holiday "Banned from New York" disc. I haven't gotten it yet. How's the sound? gregmo Quote
king ubu Posted January 8, 2016 Report Posted January 8, 2016 Pretty decent, all in all. Have some posts been deleted here? Quote

Stonewall15 Posted January 9, 2016 Report Posted January 9, 2016 Finally!!!! Columbia/Sony Dave Brubeck "Jackpot" and "In Amsterdam" made it to CD. Both listed on Amazon. Now the wait continues for "Compadres" and "Last Time We Saw Paris". Quote
jazzbo Posted January 9, 2016 Report Posted January 9, 2016 I've had both for several months now (via CDJapan). Nice! Quote
king ubu Posted January 13, 2016 Report Posted January 13, 2016 My copies of the two Brubeck albums recently arrived, haven't played 'em yet. Also catching up on the "We Remember Poo" series and a few more Kikuchi items (a least one from the King series and I think one from the East Wind series) - these seem to be OOP (released in October, OOP when I wanted to order them from cdjapan after x-mas ... cost me some more going via various marketplace vendors) - anyway, here's a link: http://www.discogs.com/label/909924-We-Remember-Poo Quote

clifford_thornton Posted January 14, 2016 Report Posted January 14, 2016 "Poo" was Kikuchi's nickname. He had a wonderful LP titled "Poo-Sun" on Philips. Quote
