HutchFan Posted December 11, 2015 Report Posted December 11, 2015 I have a version of Citadel/Room 315 that I downloaded from the blogosphere. But I'd like to have a legit version, either CD or LP. I've looked for a long while, but I can't seem to find it anywhere for a reasonable price. Any suggestions? Quote
Homefromtheforest Posted December 11, 2015 Report Posted December 11, 2015 Discogs has lots of copies for sale in the $20+ range Quote
HutchFan Posted December 11, 2015 Author Report Posted December 11, 2015 Yeah, I've seen those. But they're all Euro-sourced. So, by the time I paid for shipping, I'd be looking at a price well over $30. Maybe I just need to bite the bullet, eh? Quote
felser Posted December 11, 2015 Report Posted December 11, 2015 $16.60 on Amazon Marketplace: http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B000EBGBL2?keywords=mike%20westbrook%20citadel&qid=1449860763&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1 Quote

(And I doubt they're getting any more -- since the CD is OOP.) But it looks like I can get used CDs in the mid-$20s with $3.99 shipping. That's not terrible. Not exactly a deal. But not terrible. clifford_thornton Posted December 11, 2015 Report Posted December 11, 2015 LP in my experience is around $20. I've had it a few times. Quote
Chris_T Posted December 12, 2015 Report Posted December 12, 2015 The original LP album seemed to have a number of dodgy copies made. These had distortion in some places probably due to the unusually long sides. The later double reissue (with Metropolis) fared better. The CD version has been issued twice in the UK, 1991: NOVUS ND74987 , 2006: BGO CD 713, with the BGO one having better sound. There is also a a Japanese release which I haven't heard, 2009: BMG Japan BVCM 35625. A great shame it is OOP considering it's one of Mike's major works and that he will be 80 next year. Good luck tracking them down. Quote
