fasstrack Posted November 4, 2015 Report Posted November 4, 2015 It seems like the latest configuration for searching doesn't work as well as past ones. When I try to search a past thread on somebody or thing the threads don't come up. I.e.: I searched for Rat race Blues, a thread I had started, and it didn't come up. Is there a reason for this? erwbol Posted November 5, 2015 Report Posted November 5, 2015 Use Google instead. site:organissimo.org search terms Quote
Niko Posted November 5, 2015 Report Posted November 5, 2015 pretty sure that this is the same disease with the search function we have had for the past few years... does anybody know how to find, say, this Mike Reed thread from 8 weeks ago: using the search function? Quote

Niko Posted November 5, 2015 Report Posted November 5, 2015 using the trick erwbol mentioned above, i.e. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=%22rat+race%22+site%3Aorganissimo.org Quote
xybert Posted November 5, 2015 Report Posted November 5, 2015 You can also just google 'rat race organissimo forums' if you forget all the site:/.org stuff. I frequently google 'whatever organissmo forums' if i want to find a related thread. Quick and easy. Quote

Google is definitely an option, but the search engine should work and the fact that it doesn't (as well as before) is a bit of a drag. Quote
BFrank Posted November 5, 2015 Report Posted November 5, 2015 Didn't Jim say the site was re-indexing VERY slowly? Sounded like it was going to take several days to complete. Maybe that's the current problem. Quote
