Teasing the Korean
Generally speaking, how are Dizzy's 1960s sessions with Lalo Schifrin regarded? The main ones I know of are Gillespiana and Carnegie Hall on Verve; New Wave and French Riviera on Philips; and The New Continent on Limelight. Are there others I should be aware of? Aside from Lalo's brilliant arrangements, they get into some interesting grooves that mesh bossa with middle eastern-tinged feels.

marcello
This one is very good also and has recently been reissued with more tracks. Gillespiana is the masterpiece, though.
king ubu
I like the band alright, the twofer with "Gillespiana" and "The Carnegie Hall Concert" is my favourite, followed by "An Electric Evening".
CJ Shearn
Then there is "Free Ride" from the 70's on Pablo, but that may not count

Teasing the Korean
Any love for this one? It is basically a Lalo Schifrin album featuring Dizzy Gillespie: Edited October 21, 2015 by Teasing
