CJ Shearn Posted October 1, 2015 Report Posted October 1, 2015 Wow, this was a great article! Thanks for posting. I wasn't aware of the set up leading up to the gig. Quote
Homefromtheforest Posted October 1, 2015 Report Posted October 1, 2015 Great article even though I sold my copy of "live in Seattle" many years ago...tough music! Quote
sidewinder Posted October 1, 2015 Report Posted October 1, 2015 (edited) Great article. Listening to 'Cosmos' on the 2CD set right now - you can sense how stunned the audience must have been. One one occasion in Seattle I think I passed pretty close to where the club must have been. A zoot suited hep cat wearing a porkpie hat was walking down the road, I kid you not ! Edited October 1, 2015 by sidewinder Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted October 2, 2015 Report Posted October 2, 2015 That was probably Steve Ballmer. Quote
erwbol Posted October 2, 2015 Report Posted October 2, 2015 "The first set on Thursday clocked in just shy of two hours, with the first number [Cosmos] lasting an hour and a half."So, now that Universal "will kick off a celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Verve label, which will include myriad catalog releases, digital exclusives and box sets through the end of 2016" with the release of A Love Supreme, The Complete Masters, we can look forward to Live in Seattle, The Complete Recordings sometime next year!
