Bol Posted September 10, 2015 Report Posted September 10, 2015 Many FSNT CD's seem a bit difficult to get at good prices. They are quite expensive on Amazon, even when they are listed, which is not always the case. Does anyone know of some unobvious sellers in the US who stock them? Quote
colinmce Posted September 10, 2015 Report Posted September 10, 2015 Have you considered Fresh Sound directly? Their prices aren't great, but also not terrible-- about $16e per CD, shipping added. Jazz Messengers is even better-- they're pretty reliable and ship pretty expeditiously:http://www.jazzmessengers.com/en/98989898/complete-catalog-of-the-label-fresh-sound-new-talent Quote
peterintoronto Posted September 10, 2015 Report Posted September 10, 2015 Wish I had seen this 30 minutes ago. Just attended Daniel Fortin's CD release for 'Brinks' on Fresh Sound New Talent. $10 and a fantastic quartet of modern modal jazz. Quote
Big Beat Steve Posted September 10, 2015 Report Posted September 10, 2015 Like Colinmce said ...The problem with buying directly from Fresh Sound is their relatively high shipping charges, probably reflecting Spanish postal rates (but who from the US is there to complain, considering that the US postal services are forcing on the "rest" of the world? ;)). It would be somewhat more worthwhile per item if you buy several items at a time. The more, the better. As for Amazon, making the rounds among Amazon marketplace sellers sometimes yields bargains, but you will have to be patient and check back regularly. Quote

David Ayers Posted September 10, 2015 Report Posted September 10, 2015 ....but who from the US is there to complain, considering that the US postal services are forcing on the "rest" of the world? ;)... Gave up on that some time ago... I guess it is exporters who are affected, but it is only at the level of this kind of flea-market stuff that the shipping looms large percentage-wise, I should think.
