Phil Jackson doesn't exactly seem to be knocking the cover off the ball as Knicks general manager (IMO of course).

Continuing the mixed sports metaphors, if not for the Porzingis draft pick, the "Zen Master" would damn near qualify as the Mike Milbury* of the NBA. 

(* "Mad Mike", one-time NY Islanders GM, was the worst professional sports executive I've ever seen. But he'll always live on in my memory as the dude who climbed into the MSG seats in 1979 and beat a rowdy fan with the fan's own shoe - 

 )

ALL of the other free agent moves this off-season are -- as of this moment -- completely IRRELEVANT.

I understand why KD did it. I understand that he wants a championship. But I still think it's a WEAK move.

KD is supposed to be THE MAN! Does he really want to win it on the coattails of the team that just came back from a 3-1 deficit to beat him?!?!?

Apparently, he does...

Me too.  

That said, there was no way that the Hawks were going to be able to compete with the Cavs in the East -- regardless of which FAs they signed.

Now, NO ONE is going to get by the Warriors -- including the Cavaliers.

Dwayne Wade coming to the Bulls.  Obviously I may be wrong, but this doesn't look like a sensible move on the Bulls' part.  It reeks of desperation.

Duncan ranks fifth in career blocked shots (3,020), sixth in rebounds (15,091), seventh in games played (1,392) and 14th in points (26,496).

And his teams won five titles. LeBron has a couple more to go to catch up.

Pretty sure that SS1's comment was tongue in cheek, but thanks for this list.  What an amazing career, and by all accounts a great person.  The Warriors current organization makes no secret of the fact that they model themselves after the Spurs, and Duncan had a huge role in helping to establish the model.

I took his comment as tongue in cheek. On the other hand, I don't think that Tim Duncan was one of SS 1's favorites.
