Carr is shorter than both Rooks and Brian Williams (Bison Dele) though. Tragic and bizarre death for Williams/Dele on a boat in the South Pacific. Quote
GA Russell Posted June 9, 2016 Report Posted June 9, 2016 It says here that the average NBA player spends $42,500 each month. http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/basketball/average-nba-player-spends-42-500-month-article-1.2667233 Quote
paul secor Posted June 10, 2016 Report Posted June 10, 2016 (edited) No surprise then that so many end up broke. Edited June 10, 2016 by paul secor Quote
Soulstation1 Posted June 17, 2016 Report Posted June 17, 2016 Damn Hope the Cavs can do it LMJ = ???? Quote
uli Posted June 17, 2016 Author Report Posted June 17, 2016 (edited) I am rooting hard for the Warriors. The Land can kiss my behind. Edited June 17, 2016 by uli Quote
jazzbo Posted June 17, 2016 Report Posted June 17, 2016 I'm ready for Game 7 and for a Cleveland win. We'll see. This town needs a win. Especially right before Trump gets here and bums us out. Quote
Milestones Posted June 19, 2016 Report Posted June 19, 2016 Cavs all the way! They are showing they have the sheer willpower when they need it the most. Quote
ejp626 Posted June 20, 2016 Report Posted June 20, 2016 I would never have expected the season to end the way it just did, though probably the Warriors lost game 5 due to Green's suspension. He is definitely going to have to find a way to play with passion but not quite so out of control, since it arguably cost his team the title. Quote
TedR Posted June 20, 2016 Report Posted June 20, 2016 THE CAVS MAKE HISTORY!!!!!......AGAINST ALL ODDS!!! Quote
jazzbo Posted June 20, 2016 Report Posted June 20, 2016 What an amazing game, and what a great day for NE Ohio. Too many decades without a win, well that's changed! Quote
Milestones Posted June 20, 2016 Report Posted June 20, 2016 It is absolutely history! A great, great Finals. Look at that defensive clampdown in the 4th quarter. This team simply had the will to win. Quote
GA Russell Posted June 20, 2016 Report Posted June 20, 2016 I tuned in at 10 o'clock, and watched the last hour. It was tied 71-71 at that point. It seemed to me that much of GS's offense was Curry attempting three-pointers that didn't come close. I read a few days ago that GS's center Andrew Bogut was injured and out for the series. Certainly it was remarkable that Cleveland came back after being down 3-1, but I don't recall a team winning a championship without its starting center for the last two games either. I had good friends in school from Cleveland, so I'm happy for them. Bay Area sports fans have enjoyed a number of championships in recent years. Quote
skeith Posted June 20, 2016 Report Posted June 20, 2016 Great comeback and emotional win for the Cavs and us fans!!!! A beautiful moment to remember....wish I was in Cleveland this week!!!! Quote

TedR Posted June 21, 2016 Report Posted June 21, 2016 Another interesting stat in this historic finals is that, with less than two minutes remaining in game 7 and the game tied 89 - 89, Cleveland and Golden State had scored the same amount of points (699 points each). An amazing series. Quote
Soulstation1 Posted June 22, 2016 Report Posted June 22, 2016 Looks like the Bulls are trading D Rose to the Knicks Party Time in the Land today ?? Quote
Larry Kart Posted June 23, 2016 Report Posted June 23, 2016 Be careful what you wish for, Knicks fans. Derrick is pretty much washed up, almost certainly can't run the Triangle (which might be a blessing, I know), is a potential locker-room cancer (wait till you encounter Derrick's brother and the rest of the entourage), and he has a rape lawsuit on his docket, the details of which are nauseating. BTW, if the Bulls has the brains and the balls for it, they now should trade Jimmy Butler while he has a good deal of value. A fine player for sure, but not the centerpiece of championship team, and last year he openly refused to play coach Fred Hoiberg's offense. Quote
jlhoots Posted June 23, 2016 Report Posted June 23, 2016 Somebody (not an authority) told me today that Durant might go to Golden State. Quote
paul secor Posted June 23, 2016 Report Posted June 23, 2016 The Knicks have traded for Rose and there is talk that they may try to sign Noah. I'm sure that the Bulls are happy that someone wants their cripples. Quote
