thirdtry Posted August 5, 2015 Report Posted August 5, 2015 Not sure if this is "new release" material or a re-issue with some bonus tracks maybe, but it looks like Elemental Music is putting out this CD along with a 40 page booklet in a digipack in September.http://www.amazon.co.uk/Live-Fat-Tuesdays-Digipack-booklet/dp/B0125PLWOA/ref=sr_1_1?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1438783371&sr=1-1&keywords=art+pepper+fat No listing yet at Amazon U.S. or on the Elemental website but I'm sure it will appear soon. This recording is an excellent example of late-period Pepper, preserving an incredibly live atmosphere and with a sound balance reproducing all the four players to an acceptable standard. It acts as a solid reminder of the reasons for the altoist’s positive and lasting contribution, which is far and away more significant than the reputation he earned on the wrong side of the law.PERSONNEL:ART PEPPER, alto saxMILCHO LEVIEV, pianoGEORGE MRAZ, bassAL FOSTER, drumsRecorded live at Fat Tuesday’s in New York on April 15, 1981.CONTAINS A 40-PAGE BOOKLETINCLUDES AN ART PEPPER INTERVIEW WITH BRIAN PRIESTLEYTRACKS:01 Rhythm-A-Ning02 What Is This Thing Called Love?03 Goodbye04 Make A List, Make A Wish05 Red CarTOTAL TIME: 70:43 Quote

After reading the track listing things might change, as both Pepper and especially Leviev are truly magnificent on the few occasions they perform "Goodbye" (to my knowledge only on "Live at Ronnie Scott`s" and on the qualitywise unfortunately substandard tape recording from Geneva supplied via Laurie Pepper) Quote
