Hardbopjazz Posted June 20, 2015 Report Posted June 20, 2015 Anyone here have a kalimba? Is it possible to tune it to different keys? Quote
Hardbopjazz Posted June 20, 2015 Author Report Posted June 20, 2015 (edited) The keys are Helden with a little screwed. I'm assuming you would just slide it up or down to change the key. The keys are Helden with a little screwed. I use my regular Piano to make sure that I am tuning it probably. Edited June 20, 2015 by Hardbopjazz Quote
JSngry Posted June 20, 2015 Report Posted June 20, 2015 That is correct. You can also file the tines if you want to get into at that level, A kalimba is more like a Rhodes than you might think! Quote
page Posted June 20, 2015 Report Posted June 20, 2015 Congrats on your new instrument, Tom! Maybe you can record something later? I'd love to hear you play it. I have been looking into the autoharp for some time, but they are rather expensive and I won't be able to play that many jazz chords. Still, I might pursue it any way if I'll get the chance. Quote
