You'll need to be selective. We might seem a small set of islands but the range of varied landscape is striking. Don't do what most people do and spend too much time in London. It's an interesting city but there is so much more (I say that as someone who visited the USA once and only left Manhattan island to walk over the bridge to Brooklyn for an hour or so!!!!).

Sounds like good advice.

TBH, I love the history of the buildings and such in a city, but the shoreline cliffs and scenery of the inland intrigue me the most.

They don't sell camels in WH Smith's in Worksop so we're not at risk.

"Storybook cottages" in Culver City, CA.  You would imagine these structures being out in the woods somewhere, but in actuality they are a half block away from busy Venice Blvd.
