Eric Posted May 16, 2015 Report Posted May 16, 2015 Went to a blues show in KC tonight - Levee Town at BB's Lawnside BBQ. The owner spoke at length about BB and his appearances in KC over the years. The band (who is phenomenal) played a bunch of his songs. It was a blast. RIP. Quote
mikeweil Posted May 16, 2015 Report Posted May 16, 2015 (edited) I was lucky to see him perform about 30 years ago, and was so moved by his sincerity and the way he cared for his audience. No routine at all, which is a great accomplishment after so many years of touring. R.I.P., and many thanks for everything. Edited May 16, 2015 by mikeweil Quote
JSngry Posted May 16, 2015 Report Posted May 16, 2015 BB studied the Schillinger system for a while, not for musical reasons, but just as an intellectual exercise. Quote

johnblitweiler Posted May 31, 2015 Report Posted May 31, 2015 I am very glad that his 1950s and 1960s albums were reissued on CD and that I decided to spring for all of them. There are great riches in those earlier recordings. Truth. Quote
