ArtSalt
It looks a good line-up this year, with the exception of Tony Bennet and Lady Ga Ga!
erwbol
It looks a good line-up this year, with the exception of Tony Bennet and Lady Ga Ga! What a knockout! Think I'll pass.
ArtSalt
At the same time that the dynamic duo is on, you have Marcus Miller, Terence Blanchard, Jose James and a few others worthy of attention. A better line-up than last year methinks, will try and make the effort to get there this year, but definitely not taking the wife, she'd be in that Lady GaGa concert like a flash! erwbol
There are other lightweight acts like Chaka Khan and Lionel Richie who will undoubtedly get a handsome paycheque. I don't fancy my money disappearing into their pockets.

Cyril
It looks a good line-up this year, with the exception of Tony Bennet and Lady Ga Ga!Generally, I like Bennet's singing much more than a guy like, for example, Gregory Porter..... Poor Tony.... Edited July 12, 2015 by Cyril

Cyril
John Engels 80th Birthday Concert featuring Lew Tabackin - Live at North Sea Jazz 2015 John Engels (1935) was sixteen when he enjoyed Jazz At The Philharmonic in the Scheveningen Kurhaus with his father. The way drummer Max Roach solved a problem with his drum kit was like an epiphany to him. ‘He didn’t miss a count, the beat went on.’ Afterwards Engels wanted nothing more than to be a drummer. He has since become one of the grandmasters on the Dutch jazz scene who can boast an impressive career, such as accompanying jazz legends like Chet Baker, Ben Webster, Dizzy Gillespie and Stan Getz. His biography was published recently and he is celebrating his 80th birthday this year with his Vogel Vrij Tour. The drummer already performed at North Sea Jazz in 1976, in no fewer than than three concerts! This time he will truly celebrate with his show, titled Old Meets Young. One of his guest stars will be the captivating saxophonist Lew Tabackin (1940), a good friend of Engels, with whom he has played many times before.....
