skeith Posted March 30, 2015 Report Posted March 30, 2015 It was only 1 block over and probably less than 100 feet away. Fortunately the former site of the Fillmore East - now a bank - does not appear to be damaged. Typical NYC shenanigans involved in this tragedy.... too bad. Quote

No If you follow the media, there are reports of an illegal gas hookup at the site... and of residents being warned not to tell ConEd if they smelled gas, etc., etc,....bottom line people died because of the shenanigans.... typical. As they say... only in NY Quote
clifford_thornton Posted April 1, 2015 Report Posted April 1, 2015 Not only in NY but yes, really bad. Quote
skeith Posted April 2, 2015 Author Report Posted April 2, 2015 Not only in NY but yes, really bad. I suppose so.... but then those other places don't call themselves "the Greatest City in the World"...and it seems to happen more here than other places I have lived... and it seems most "accidents" involve some sort of illegal or criminal activity.... if I remember correctly the much bigger explosion in East Harlem last year involved the same kind of nonsense...8 people died I think.
