T.D. Posted April 24, 2020 Report Posted April 24, 2020 (edited) Don't assume UPS/Fedex will be great. I placed a small Staples order from work for office supplies. Pre-COVID, it would have arrived via UPS one day later. It now will be at least 8 days (each day the ETA gets pushed back a day). But I'm sure they will outperform USPS. Edited April 24, 2020 by T.D. The destination is Upstate NY, nearest hub Albany. Good thing it's a reputable seller (Squidco via Discogs). I'm expecting to have to request a refund. But it only stayed in JC for a few hours this time - last time they kept it a week! From what I've read online overall first class and bulk(junk) mail volume is way down because of the virus. There are days when there is nothing in my mailbox. As for parcel volume I'm hearing it's comparable to the Christmas holidays because with many stores closed and people home, there is a lot or ordering online. Amazon can't even guarantee 2 day delivery for Prime members. Chewy where we order our pet food, is taking forever to ship. We placed an order over 10 days ago and still hasn't shipped. Perhaps the rank and file at the USPS is overwhelmed. Not that's an excuse. Just weird stuff that escapes me. Quote
