Hammondo
I've had an SK2 for nearly a year now and although it is a fantastic machine with brilliant sounds, the keyboard itself is very noisy. It squeaks and creaks quite a lot and is generally annoying particularly if playing at low volume. It also had a problem with the velocity sensitivity on one key (always being at full volume). I sent it back to the shop who cured the velocity problem but have been unable to sort out the creaking keys. I have opened the unit up myself to see if there is anything I can do (lubricate springs etc) but again to no avail. I can't believe such a great instrument (and an expensive one at that) could have such a cheap sounding keyboard. Has anyone else has had a similar problem? Jim Alfredson
It's indicative of the Fatar keybed that everyone is using these days. Nord uses the same one as does the Crumar Mojo. It is what it is.
