Scott Dolan
Junior Seau earned over $28mil during his playing career, and died with a net worth of $12mil. I'm sure the family will do just fine, with or without any assistance from the NFL.
Soulstation1
I doubt he died with that amount of $$$$ IMHOHe was a big high stakes card playerMore $$$$ going out than coming inI feel sorry for his mother and kids
Scott Dolan
His ex wife reportedly brings in a mil a year from investments. I'm sure they'll find a way to survive on that. Besides, Junior was paid well during his career. If he pissed it away, why is that the fault of the NFL?
Tim McG
To all Niners fans: Football season is back.Let us pause and observe a moment of silence for winning football. GA Russell
Can any of you New Yorkers tell me if the Jets' quarterback Geno Smith is any good? He will be out ten weeks with a broken jaw because a teammate (now released) sucker punched him.http://nypost.com/2015/08/11/jets-qb-geno-smith-breaks-jaw-on-sucker-punch-by-teammate/
GA Russell
Steve Smith announced yesterday that this would be his last year. Here is an interesting article suggesting that he deserves to be elected to the Hall of Fame.http://espn.go.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/id/174021/making-the-hall-of-fame-case-for-steve-smith

Enemkpali is an idiot for throwing the punch and deserved to be released, but he might have actually improved the Jets by putting Smith out of action. Tim McG
Browns will have a far better season than the Niners. For that matter, my neighbor's Bridge Club will have a better season than the Niners. You read it here first. I'm not sure I've ever seen a window slam shut as quickly as this…ever. Sorry, brother...It's happened before. When I was young(er), the 1964 Giants went 2-10, after winning the eastern conference championship and playing in the NFL title game the year before.I doubt that the 49ers will fall that far. Scott Dolan
Probably not, Paul. Though, I can't see them winning more than 4 or 5 this season. That division is stacked, and they have lost a ton of talent on both side of the ball.
paul secor
Unlike the 49ers, the '64 Giants didn't lose people. It just seemed like everybody got old at once.
Tim McG
The Niners are plagued with a clueless owner and a football neophyte GM.The whole scenario makes me think of that old movie with Charlie Sheen and Bob Uecker, Major League, where the owner was trying to destroy the team.Looks like a case of Life imitates Art.Ugh. HutchFan
I hate the NE Cheaters butYesterday Hoodie made Rex Ryan his bitch again Ain't that the truth! I am SO glad that the Falcons didn't hire Rex. They interviewed/flirted with him for a while, but I think they had their hearts set on Quinn all along.Speaking of... I can hardly believe that the Falcons are 2-0. And we'll be facing a Romo-less and Dez-less Cowboys next week.
