J.A.W. Posted March 1, 2004 Report Posted March 1, 2004 Yes, sounds bad........shame that a guy would essentially write you off for 30+ years over it. Oh well, it's a long time ago and I'm not losing any sleep over it, though I was just as mad and disappointed as Gerry, Lee and Peter Ind were all those years ago. Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted March 1, 2004 Author Report Posted March 1, 2004 Jack Goodwin, proprietor of http://www.warnemarsh.info/ , reminds me of another possible Marsh release: "Regarding the possible future issues by VSOP - they have a tape owned by Geraldyne Marsh of Warne with Joe Albany, Bob Whitlock and an unknown bassist recorded live at Dana Point, California in October 1957. So far no sign of a release date." Jack also kindly posted my release info in his "news" section. Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted March 16, 2004 Author Report Posted March 16, 2004 Well, I'm back and the cds are here. Every order is packed. Some went out today and the rest leave in the morning. Enjoy, and thanks to you folks. Quote
pryan Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 Great news, Chuck. Am very much looking forward to receiving my disc, I am. Quote

Jazzmoose Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 Anyone care to join me in a moment of prayer? (PLEASE don't let that box arrive on Saturday when the wife is home...please please please... ) Quote
Upright Bill Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 I just found out that mine was shipped today. Since Chuck is less than 20 miles from me, if my karma is good I should have it tomorrow! Oh crap, there was that guy at work today.... Darn karma, I won't get it until next week now! Quote
Jazzmoose Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 Come on, Bill; I'm sure he deserved it! Quote
BruceH Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 Anyone care to join me in a moment of prayer? (PLEASE don't let that box arrive on Saturday when the wife is home...please please please... ) That prayer sounds familiar... Quote
Uncle Skid Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 Anyone care to join me in a moment of prayer? (PLEASE don't let that box arrive on Saturday when the wife is home...please please please... ) That prayer sounds familiar... Oh yes, brother... we're all praying for you... (mine was answered -- my big box from Mosaic (Tristano/Konitz/Marsh,Mobley,Jones Select) showed up yesterday, about an hour before she got home!) Looking forward to hearing "All Music"! Quote
Upright Bill Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 Come on, Bill; I'm sure he deserved it! He did! All day all: "Are you done yet?" 8x "I hate my life." (maybe that was wife) 14x "Just shoot me!" So I did! Quote
catesta Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 This is great news, Chuck thanks again for making this available. Quote
Upright Bill Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 I WIN! I'm listening to it right now! Quote
ghost of miles Posted March 17, 2004 Report Posted March 17, 2004 Hey, great news, Chuck! Hopefully mine will arrive in the next day or so. Just came across another mention of the album in Larry Kart's liner notes to the Mosaic Tristano box, which I've been re-visiting lately. Quote
Joe G Posted March 17, 2004 Report Posted March 17, 2004 Got mine in the mail today. Thanks Chuck! Those guys you got to write the liners aren't half bad! Quote
Jazzmoose Posted March 18, 2004 Report Posted March 18, 2004 Damn, Chuck; you're gonna catch for threatening the Post Office! You must have for it to get out here to California already! The only problem now is which one to listen to first... Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted March 18, 2004 Author Report Posted March 18, 2004 Damn, Chuck; you're gonna catch for threatening the Post Office! You must have for it to get out here to California already! The only problem now is which one to listen to first... I told Georgia, the lovely lady behind the counter, your package had to arrive before Saturday to maintain domestic harmony. Quote
Jazzmoose Posted March 18, 2004 Report Posted March 18, 2004 It worked; all CDs are filed away discreetly while the other half is still at work. Except for the Von Freeman, playing at this moment... (For those who wonder, yeah, she notices the shelves getting fuller, but we have an arrangement: if I don't notice that the closet is getting more crowded, she allows the same grace for the CD shelves. ) Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted March 18, 2004 Author Report Posted March 18, 2004 An old friend in Madison, WI got married and made a deal with his bride. She could spend the same amount on clothes as he spent on records. The marriage lasted about 6 months 'cause she didn't think the sofa "sat right" only to find about 20 operas hidden under it. Quote
