mjzee Posted December 4, 2014 Report Posted December 4, 2014 What a great rock pianist. I saw him with Bonnie Raitt around 1980. He made any band he was in sound better. RIP. Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted December 4, 2014 Report Posted December 4, 2014 Sad one. Knew him best via The Faces, one of the great fun bands. Wrote a wonderfully spirited autobio as well. RIP Quote
Aggie87 Posted December 4, 2014 Report Posted December 4, 2014 In related news, Bobby Keys passed away the day before. Quote
BFrank Posted December 8, 2014 Report Posted December 8, 2014 Saw him most recently in March at the Continental Club in Austin during the South by Southwest festival. He was always around there playing and participating in panel discussions. Besides a Hall of Fame musician, he seemed like a great guy and great storyteller, too. He'll be missed, for sure. Quote
skeith Posted December 9, 2014 Report Posted December 9, 2014 I will miss him... thanks for everything Ian! Quote
