scottb Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 Tonight I'm going to go see Galactic at one of the college hangouts. I saw in the paper today that the Robben Ford show had to be cancelled because of illness at a venue across the street from Galactic. Galactic and Robben Ford on the same TUESDAY (!) night in February in Fayetteville AR. Who'da thunk it? Maybe NW Arkansas isn't going to be too bad musically after all. The Walton Arts Center (as in Sam "Walmart" Walton) is here which gets acts much better than expected for a city of about 60,000 (I think about 250,000 when counting Bentonville, Rogers, and Springdale which are growing together into a big MEGACITY!) Of course the area is supposedly booming with a predicted population of 800,000 in the next 10-20 years. Quote
