fasstrack
He blended so beautifully with Tom Harrell and soloed with distinction on Horace Silver's Silver with Strings Plays the Music of the Spheres and Bill Evans' We Will Meet Again. It seems little has been heard of him on record since the 70s. What gives?
relyles
Most recent record I have of him is performing with the George Gruntz Concert Jazz Band in 2007.

Schneider was quite prolific during the mid-nineties into 2001, releasing eight albums on SteepleChase and also a few more on Splasc(h) and Label Bleu. I have several SteepleChase titles and they're very good. I especially like these ones:

catesta
http://larryschneidermusic.com/resume/ JS, once upon a time when the BFT program first started you did one of the first several and for some reason I'm thinking you had a Horace Silver track featuring Schneider. Am I wrong?
JSngry
You are not. It was from the Plays The Music Of The Spheres LP.
catesta
Cool. I still have the disc and that is still my favorite track. Since I lost the notes though I never knew who to credit beyond Horace. Edited October 16, 2014 by catesta
