Did you remember to play some Miles yesterday. It's been 23 years since Miles past away.

I played live music from France and from Monterey (both 1963).

I wasn't thinking of Miles' memorial date at all, but I was spontaneously moved to play a couple of sides of Agharta. I guess Miles still moves in mysterious ways.

I wasn't aware of any significance to the date either but there seems few days I don't slip in some Miles! I played a disc from the Teo Macero edition of the Plugged Nickel set.

That´s really strange:

I had forgotten about september 28, but nevertheless I listened to some Miles in Europe 1969, without being aware of the date of his death. That´s strange because I hadn´t listened much to Miles recently, and it was the only music I listened to on that day.

That long ago! I remember mentioning it during a lunch break on the following day at work and getting a 'Who's Miles Davis?' response.

Mind you, I got exactly the same response when, in a general discussion about recent deaths, I mentioned Kenny Wheeler (less surprising, I know).
