First US edition, identifiable by:
"EAR" symbol & VAN GELDER stamped in the dead wax;
Deep groove, heavy vinyl pressing; labels state: 33&1/3 microgroove Long Playing.
Blue Note address: 43 West 61st, New York 23 written on back cover and on inner sleeve with illustrated details of 72 other LP releases under the heading "1939-1964 25 Years Blue Note The First Name In Jazz".
Labels have ® beneath the “E” in “BLUE NOTE”.

Recorded on February 25, 1964.

Did you find it through this board or on eBay?

eBay is usually the best bet for tracking down particular albums unless you live in a big city like London, Tokyo or New York.

I have an original mono and stereo copy of this album but both are VG+ only...it would be nice to one day find a M- copy without breaking the bank!

I'd also say that Waxidermy can be a good source as far as forums go.

Ashamed to admit that I no longer have this on LP... sold my VG+ Liberty stereo years ago and never replaced it.

Found mine on the wall display of a (now gone) record store - mono NY USA with ear for £10. Not mint but (after a record clean) not bad at all.

Those were the days !

found a copy, in great shape! on ebay. it was not listed as mono in the description but I could tell from the photos it was.

Sounds great. Toss up between stereo and mono....some tracks sound a little congested in mono but others are great.
