Dan Gould Posted August 20, 2014 Report Posted August 20, 2014 Very excited to see that Michael Cochrane release. Definitely a TDWR. I've enjoyed all of his recordings and this one comes out the day after my b-day. Quote

relyles Posted December 4, 2014 Report Posted December 4, 2014 Thanks for the updates. Has anyone heard the Brann CD? He is a new name to me, but Mark Turner and Gregory Tardy make this a very tempting purchase for me. Quote

Larry Kart Posted December 9, 2014 Report Posted December 9, 2014 The Stephen Riley sounds interesting to me. Followed him for a while but haven't kept up with the steady flow of Riley CDs on Steeplechase. (Can anyone get me on their mailing list? ) Normally I'm somewhat put off by guys who are as specifically drenched in "the tradition" as Riley is, but he certainly seems to be making it up as he goes along (I feel much the same about Grant Stewart), and for me that makes a difference. jlhoots Posted August 11, 2015 Report Posted August 11, 2015 I'm definitely getting the new Knuffke. Quote
relyles Posted August 11, 2015 Report Posted August 11, 2015 I have the Tardy disk and the Walrath and Freddy Redd discs are available from dusty Groove. I have always been a Tardy fan. Maybe he is one of those underrecognized saxophonists. Quote
