It seems that Fantasy is continuing to offer two lines of audiophile reissues, K2 CDs and hybrid SACDs. Not the same titles, but most of the current SACD batch were previously reissued on K2 also, before SACDs existed.

Fantasy does not own the Brown titles, they were licensed. Look for Vogue or BMG reissues for this material.

The Monk is going to be very welcome, I love this session and would like to have it in a K2 remastering!

Not sure how much better the Monk can sound since the original masters and the subsequent lp masters are long gone.

It will probably sound better than the copy I have! Also, I'm one of those persons who think that a quality done transfer can make a big improvement, and K2s are quality transfers indeed. I've also heard that the Japanese cd (K2) is an improvement. The price is better on the domestic coming up. . . .
