Hardbopjazz
If this is the complete catalog, then the number should be over 100. In celebration of the 75th Anniversary of Blue Note Records we've launched iTunes.com/BlueNote, a dedicated global iTunes destination that serves as the premiere source for Blue Note music with exclusive offerings and the goal of making every Blue Note titles available in one place. Over 100 Blue Note albums will be Master for iTunes, ensuring delivery of the music to listeners with increased audio fidelity. Also just launched on iTunes Radio is Blue Note Radio, a new station that exclusively streams Blue Note tracks covering all 75 years of The Finest In Jazz from Thelonious Monk to Robert Glasper. The station will continually grow as new music is released including recent albums from Ambrose Akinmusire, Brian Blade & The Fellowship Band, and Takuya Kuroda, as well as upcoming releases from Bobby Hutcherson/David Sanborn/Joey DeFrancesco, Joe Lovano/Dave Douglas, Jason Moran, Wayne Shorter & more. An Artist of the Month spotlight highlighting Blue Note artists past & present begins with a look at the landmark Blue Note recordings of legendary keyboardist and composer Herbie Hancock, whose Blue Note catalog includes his debut album Takin' Off from 1962, and comprises numerous classics such as My Point Of View, Empyrean Isles, Maiden Voyage, and Speak Like A Child. New catalog releases featured today at iTunes.com/BlueNote include Blue Note 75 , a 75-track anniversary collection spanning the label's entire history, as well as six exclusive introductory 10-track Blue Note 101 compilations. Now Hear This: Blue Note Records , a free monthly podcast from Don Was, presents the unique perspective of Blue Note's President, who is himself an accomplished producer and musician. sonnymax
If this is the complete catalog, then the number should be over 100. I think you're misreading this promo. Their "goal" is to make every title available. That includes titles that will be available for streaming on iTunes Radio, as well as titles that can be purchased for download. The "100" refers to the BN titles that supposedly are being remastered exclusively for the iTunes store (a dubious distinction that doesn't exactly promise the best sound). Chuck Nessa
I will sign on when there are downloads of the Clyde Bernhardt (and his Kansas City Buddies) and Alamo Markham sessions. I only have half of the material. Then they could start on the 2 Jimmy Shirley sessions.
chewy-chew-chew-bean-benitez
this is ridiculous, when they say complete catalog they mean the complete catalog of all the stuff that has been domestically released on a prior digital format.
