Dave Garrett Posted April 10, 2014 Report Posted April 10, 2014 Some nice deals there. When I saw the subject line, then a bunch of FMP titles, I was hoping one of them would be the 2-disc In East Berlin. That one seems to be pretty scarce (at a price I'm willing to pay, at any rate). Quote
AmirBagachelles Posted April 10, 2014 Author Report Posted April 10, 2014 East Berlin has been on Amazon Maretplace recently and I mean more than once "down" around $60-65. Not st the moment though. Quote
paul secor Posted April 10, 2014 Report Posted April 10, 2014 I have all of the Cecil you're selling, but there are some good recordings up there. Hope some people go for them. Quote
AmirBagachelles Posted April 11, 2014 Author Report Posted April 11, 2014 Corrections: Double Holy House is a single, and not for sale River Bank is a single CD. Quote
Hot Ptah Posted April 11, 2014 Report Posted April 11, 2014 I have always liked Dark to Themselves, which I think is one of his more accessible ensemble albums. Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted April 11, 2014 Report Posted April 11, 2014 Great list of Cecils. I got excited and started ordering before I understood I had them already!! Quote
romualdo Posted April 11, 2014 Report Posted April 11, 2014 The Akisakila double looks interesting - one of the few CT items I don't have better send a pm Quote
CraigP Posted April 11, 2014 Report Posted April 11, 2014 Great list of Cecils. I got excited and started ordering before I understood I had them already!! Yes, my heart started pumping when I saw the post title, but I went through a painstaking process of getting all the Cecil I could some years back. Quote
B. Clugston Posted April 11, 2014 Report Posted April 11, 2014 PM on 'Nailed' That's a great one! Quote
colinmce Posted April 11, 2014 Report Posted April 11, 2014 I've heard most of these and find his 90s ensemble music to be some of his very best. I'd grab a few if I had the coin to spare. Quote
Swinger Posted April 11, 2014 Report Posted April 11, 2014 Oh man I read this too late. I was hoping to get Nailed. It's the only one missing in my collection. Quote

I've had an alert set up for it via the camels for a while, but I must've somehow missed those. There's one dude on eBay that has kept relisting a couple of copies at high prices for what has to have been over a year now, with no takers. Quote
colinmce Posted April 12, 2014 Report Posted April 12, 2014 I want to hurt that person on Ebay. They are practically spammers. They've been clogging up avant jazz CD listings for YEARS now. Ridiculous. Quote
David Ayers Posted April 13, 2014 Report Posted April 13, 2014 It is a pity that CT's discography is really *so* hard to collect, and has been for a long time. Quote

Ridiculous. If you are not averse to a download: http://destination-out.bandcamp.com/album/nailed A lot of FMP discs there. Quote
AmirBagachelles Posted April 14, 2014 Author Report Posted April 14, 2014 Thanks for that link.... are those lossless downloads??? I can't believe my eyes, seeing Outspan 1& 2 for sale. Those are good records from the day! I have good rips but now I have to do right and buy.... Oy I added another CT for sale (Melancholy), and I will add more tomorrow, but no more FMPs. I will have some other FMPs later in the week, from a range of artists. I'm moving, hate to sell some of this but my next apartment setup ain't going to be pretty. I will obviously need to keep as much Brotzmann playing around the clock in my new digs, to set proper tone and neighborly ambience. Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted April 14, 2014 Report Posted April 14, 2014 .... are those lossless downloads??? Says at the top "Immediate download of 2-track album in the high-quality format of your choice (MP3, FLAC, and more)". My ears aren't that fussy so I always go for mp3 (unless it's obviously down at 128). The handful of discs I've taken from here have sounded fine. Quote

We've gotta start looking in June, not looking forward to it but the rents in our hood are just too damn high. Quote
