Collier's later recordings don't get much attention but I've found them to be very strong. Especially liked this one:

Like the line-up of musicians on these two new discs. As it says on the web blurb, friends old and new:

James Allsopp, Roy Babbington, Mark Bassey, Graeme Blevins, Roger Dean, Andy Grappy, John Marshall, Andy Panayi, Ed Speight, Martin Shaw, Art Themen, Trevor Tomkins, Steve Waterman and Jonathan Williams.

Oops...appears that we've got two threads on this release. I think I'm the guilty party for starting this one without checking

Mod (not Weller) can you merge please?

I've been playing this on and off now for several weeks and I must admit I'm hugely disappointed with it. To me it sounds formless, more like a rehearsal tape than a finished suite. I know it was recorded posthumously and I wonder whether that might have something to do with it. Perhaps it needed Graham to be there in order to realise what was intended.

Anyway I have lots of other treasured recordings by him, so all is not lost!
