You're looking for the Mosaic set, right? LP or CD? I'm asking because this material - or at least most of it - has been reissued more than once.

Yeah, the Mosaic set, either LP or CD. If one can't track that down, what are the best alternatives to get these recordings?

The Vogue material is available on a CD called Piano Solo. The Black Lion is available on 3 separate CDs. There is a set of all 3 but that tends to cost more than the 3 discs individually.

Looking at Amazon you can get all 4 CDs at the marketplace for $23.66 + 15.96 shipping, running a shade under $40. Pricewise it sure beats the Mosaic.

The Vogue material sounds vastly better on my French Vogue CD compared to the Mosaic vinyl. I guess that only a 2nd or 3rd gen. tape can have been available to Mosaic. The rest of the Mosaic set sounds excellent.

I agree with this. I stay away from the 1201 versions and stick to the old Black Lions. Better sound IMHO.

FWIW the Black Lions I was referring to/price-checked were the old ones, not the 1201s.
