GA Russell Posted December 15, 2013 Report Posted December 15, 2013 Is this a great country, or what? A Broward County Walmart employee was unhappy that a co-worker was named Employee of the Month so he shot her car! Investigators said they’re still stumped on the exact motive for the shooting. “Perhaps (Mitchell) wanted to be employee of the month but clearly these actions that we saw in response to this, I think we see why he wasn’t chosen as employee of the month,” Coleman-Wright said. http://miami.cbslocal.com/2013/12/13/cbs4-exclusive-wal-mart-employee-arrested-for-shooting-co-workers-car-over-award/ Quote
erwbol Posted December 15, 2013 Report Posted December 15, 2013 I'm surprised the Walmart employee could afford the ammunition on his starvation wage, but then the right to keep and bear arms is protected by your constitution so no surprise a bullet is cheaper than healthy food. Sick and hungry? F... off! Must be your own lack of effort and ambition. Quote
AllenLowe Posted December 15, 2013 Report Posted December 15, 2013 he probably brought the ammo at Walmart, with his Walmart Employee discount. Quote
paul secor Posted December 15, 2013 Report Posted December 15, 2013 (edited) I wonder what the Walmart Customer of the Month is like? (Just kidding - I really don't want to know.) Edited December 15, 2013 by paul secor Quote
Teasing the Korean Posted December 15, 2013 Report Posted December 15, 2013 I've set foot in a Walmart only twice in my life, looking specifically for an item that I could not find anyplace else. It was like a tea party rally. Everyone kept looking at me, they could tell that I was not one of them. Quote

Teasing the Korean Posted December 15, 2013 Report Posted December 15, 2013 I left the hat with one of the greeters so as not to call undue attention to myself. Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted December 16, 2013 Report Posted December 16, 2013 After spending 36 years learning to keep negativity in check and accentuate the positive with kids I heard a programme on the World Service a few weeks back saying that praise is counter-productive. It might make the recipient beam but everyone else in the room gets resentful of the recipient. More to the point, they resent you for not picking them. This story seems to back that up. Well, I'm not going to unlearn a 36 year habit. Quote
