Hi my dear friends, it's that time of the year .....

I'm your host for December's Blindfold Test, so please post your request for a download link here here - I plan to up upload the files next weekend.

There is a theme, but it's very, very easy to detect. But there is a sub-theme or two in it, still not too sophisticated.

If you want a solid CDR rather than adownload, I hope jeffcrom could handle that for the US members.

So Hardbopjazz suggested I would participate in this game. Now I love playing games and especially one where I can learn something about the music I love most but I'm not sure I would be any good. I haven't been into jazz that long and I'm still trying to find my way 'round. If it's okay with everyone else I would like to give it a try? And I hope you guys and gals will cut me some slack in case I can. You can tell me "No" too, I'd understand and then I'll join some time later.

If you read some of the old BFT discussion threads, you'll see that there are only two or three of us who are any good. The rest of us thrash about and sometimes score a near miss.

DL for me please, and I can show Page how one can listen to this stuff for 41 years and still be clueless at this. I don't call myself "Old Wooden Ears" for nothing. One word of advice - guess "Sonny Stitt" on everything, and you'll be right more often than you would expect.

I think I might have the final sequence together by Thursday evening and will make it available to jeffcrom to burn discs.

But the general downlaod will be MP3s, as this is the only format in which I have some of the tracks.

No Sonny Stitt, BTW ..., nowhere in this BFT.

Okay, I PM'd the download link. There are 17 files, named BFT117-001 to BFT117-017, when the rapidshare page tunrs up, click on Download, check all the files and download. If any problems occur, please let me know. These are MP3's, not zipped.
