danasgoodstuff Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 My wife, who is only 47, had a major heart attack at work Monday morning. When I got to the hospital she was nonresponsive but eventually came around and they put a stent in that afternoon. She's doing much better now, but still... Quote
JSngry Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 Damn dude...stay strong, and best wishes. And yes, don't forget. Quote

page Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 Best wishes to your wife and strenght and love for the both of you! I've lost my parents at relatively young age and since I've been trying to be as honest as I could in telling people how I feel. You'll never know what is going to happen, so seize the day and enjoy life to the most with your loved ones! regards, page Quote
jazzbo Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 I agree with page. I've lost people I love dearly, and I've become quite demonstrative with those I love. Hope your wife is better minute by minutes. Quote
TedR Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 Yes, my best wishes too. We just can't take for granted every day. Quote

jazzkrow Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 As one who has gone thru major heart issues, I hope all goes well quickly. There is a free heart support group at Adventist here in Portland that meets once a month. Send me a PM and I can give you more info.. Take care, Dana... Quote
Kevin Bresnahan Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 My wife went through a big medical scare a few years back so I know exactly what you're going through. Telling her you love her is a start but simply being there for her is even better. Our relationship underwent a shift that day. I have always given my wife a kiss on the way out the door. It just means a bit more today than it did 3 years ago. Quote
Leeway Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 (edited) Having been in the hospital myself a few times recently, I can definitely relate to your situation. Stay positive (it helps the patient) and best wishes. Edited to add a note regarding the actual heading of the thread: yes, showing and speaking your love is important. Life is uncertain. BeBop Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 "Amen" to all of the above, especially the "I Love You" part. Quote
Tim McG Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 Glad your wife is doing better...that stuff is seriously scary. Having had a mild heart attack [then was hit with a virus which they had to take two liters of fluid out of the bag which surrounds the heart] I almost cashed it in. You just don't know when something could happen. Thank you for sharing this, my friend. Best to you and your wife. Quote
BruceH Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 Best wishes for a full and quick recovery. Quote
