A Lark Ascending Posted November 10, 2013 Report Posted November 10, 2013 Winter between 7 and 8, summer between 6 and 7. Assume this is around midnight in the States. Does some sort of maintenance or back-up take place? Not complaining. Just curious. Quote
mjazzg Posted November 10, 2013 Report Posted November 10, 2013 I'm too slow at that time to notice.... Quote
BillF Posted November 10, 2013 Report Posted November 10, 2013 I've never noticed this, Bev. Just the reduced activity while our our transatlantic cousins are snoozing. Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted November 10, 2013 Author Report Posted November 10, 2013 How odd. It's happened for several years. Everywhere else works much as normal. Can be slow in moving from page to page and especially slow when posting. Maybe it's a mismatch between the board and my broadband connection. It's no great deal - just wondered if there was an explanation. Mark - give it time. In a few years you will be wide awake at that time! Quote

A Lark Ascending Posted November 10, 2013 Author Report Posted November 10, 2013 NSA searches always will slow things down Ah! Now it makes sense. Starting to regret all those posts of lefty Holst and Tippett records. Must make me a suspect. Quote
Head Man Posted November 10, 2013 Report Posted November 10, 2013 I've never noticed this, Bev. Just the reduced activity while our our transatlantic cousins are snoozing. Yes, I've noticed. Sometimes it's so slow I move on to something else.......but I always come back! Quote
JohnS Posted November 10, 2013 Report Posted November 10, 2013 Waiting for the "view new content page" and "next page" can take a while in the mornings. Quote
sidewinder Posted November 10, 2013 Report Posted November 10, 2013 Waiting for the "view new content page" and "next page" can take a while in the mornings. Yes, I find that too. Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted November 10, 2013 Report Posted November 10, 2013 Yes, that's when the nightly backup starts. Hence the slowness. Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted November 10, 2013 Author Report Posted November 10, 2013 Merci. Mystery solved. Quote
