to the right of rahsaan roland kirk. it may be the drummer sonny brown, but not sure if it's even a drummer in the photo. could be a percussionist/conga player. photo is from 1974/1975.

Who is the photographer? It does not look like Sonny Brown to me.

the photographer is Michael Wilderman. he does not know who the guy on the right is, but he thinks that it's the drummer.

it could also be the drummer John Goldsmith in the photo.

The Chicagoan Robert Shy played drums with Kirk in that era, though (1) I'm not sure he was still working with Kirk in 74/75 and (2) I have no idea if that's what Shy looked like in those days -- the only times I saw him live was in the mid 80s. Paging Larry or Chuck ...

at 5min into the above video, it does look like it could be the same
person as in the photo. that's john goldsmith on drums in the video.
