brownie Posted October 10, 2013 Report Posted October 10, 2013 Never cared much for her singing... Give me Barbara, Juliette Greco, Jacques Brel, Gainsbourg, etc any time and keep Piaf! Saw her several times - including a show in the late 40s at the Paris ABC theater where she appeared on the same bill as Yves Montand and Les Compagnons de la Chanson - and thought she was quite unattractive. Also saw her near the end of her life with her companion Theo Sarapo. They were a pitiful sight! Quote
