Just in case there are also two separate rather recent Japanese reissues of the albums - agreed on Sangrey's summary, enjoyable stuff!

And the Japanese EMI cds sound much better than the two earlier Fresh Sounds cds.

I like these dates and I agree with Lon that the latest Japanese issues sound better than the old Fresh Sound CDs. Neither version is "audiophile", but the Fresh Sound versions sound muffled by comparison.

I had one volume and passed it on. Nothing too exciting to these ears. But if its your thing, there's nothing there to dissuade.

a small group setting.

just a teaser; Bill Triglia told me he was the Monday night pianist at Birdland for a while - and then played me a reel to reel he'd made with Sonny Rollins; wouldn't let me make a copy, and nobody knows where it is now.

got the early f.s. cd issues and passed on the lps over the years, now i never seem em anywhere anymore- i guess theres stereo and mono for each volume.
