Sad and unexpected news for sure. I think the last thing I saw from him was a thoughtful interview he did with Dame Joan Bakewell on BBC4 a couple of months ago. Remember thinking at the time that he had aged quite a bit of late - RIP.

Very, vaguely - fuzzy picture on an old valve B&WTV when I was a kid. I have more coherent memories of his later 'David Frost Show'.

David Frost conducted so many great interviews. The Richard Nixon interview stands out in my mind as his legacy.

I remember him for TW3 and the Nixon interviews.

My favourite David Frost bit was the spoof on a political campaign speech. He went on for a good 15 minutes and, as my mother would have said, "there wasn't one word you could take away with you." But, his cultured diction and his sincere delivery fooled the listener for the first few minutes, until you realized he hadn't actually said anything worthwhile. It was hilarious!!

He was one of my favourite Brits.

RIP Sir David.
