A Lark Ascending Posted August 23, 2013 Author Report Posted August 23, 2013 (edited) I guess we should all be thankful you are across the sea. I'm not. You are. [Four words; I win] I'm not totally sure what 'custard creams' are. Especially nice dunked in tea. Although there is an 'art' to knowing just how long to keep one in the tea before it starts to come apart and fill your cup with soggy mush; also in ensuring the entire biscuit absorbs the tea without burning your fingers. Royal Oak Posted August 23, 2013 Report Posted August 23, 2013 It's the cheapest, nastiest biscuit there is, something of a symbol of mediocrity here in the UK. I like 'em. Quote

BruceH Posted August 23, 2013 Report Posted August 23, 2013 I can't help but think of a 'biscuit' as the same thing as a 'roll.' It's the American in me. Quote
David Ayers Posted August 23, 2013 Report Posted August 23, 2013 Bev and Trotsky were wrong to oppose art-for-art's sake - or maybe not. What could be more socially useful than art you can dish out with the tea and coffee after the sunday morning service.... Quote
JSngry Posted August 23, 2013 Report Posted August 23, 2013 What could be more socially useful than art you can dish out with the tea and coffee after the sunday morning service.... Art you can dish out with the whiskey and ribs the night before the sunday morning service? Quote
Tim McG Posted August 24, 2013 Report Posted August 24, 2013 My idea of a biscuit: With butter and jam [or honey; it's all good]. Quote
