wesbed Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 i don't have arizona winning today vs seton hall , they should get bounced. It appears ss1 called it correctly. Arizona didn't win tonight. I'm sitting on my bed with my computer on my lap as I type this note. I'm listening to the post-game 'Wildcat Talk' on the radio. No jazz for me tonight, just listening to the local Tucson people, calling-in to discuss their opinions regarding what happened (or, didn't happen) with Arizona basketball this year. Maybe next year? chris olivarez Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 Sure why not next year for the zonies.Lute Olson is a great coach and a helluva recruiter. No doubt he'll figure out pretty quicly what went wrong and fix it. Quote
catesta Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 At the start of the second half it sure looked as if Arizona was going to turn it on. This season was a huge disappointment. Next year should be better. Quote
Noj Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 As a UCLA fan, I was rooting for the Pac-10 Arizona Wildcats. They led the whole game, then the offense seemed to stall and Seton Hall seemed to be in every passing lane. Lute was telling the team during a time out late in the game, "you're forcing, you're forcing." Great competition so far, especially that DePaul/Dayton double OT game. Quote
Soulstation1 Posted March 19, 2004 Author Report Posted March 19, 2004 (edited) the problem with the cats, besides the lack of a inside force, is the guards play street ball and try to make the fancy plays. the guards lute has now are the most talented group i've seen and i've seen alot of good players come through during lute's 20+ years here. bibby, terry, areneas, stoudamire but can they learn "lute's way"? he should bench them if they aren't doing what he asks. this is lute's program and city lute will be here longer than today's b-baller, who's using the ncaa as the minor leagues i like hassan adams' style and play ss1 i had dayton is my pool last night Edited March 19, 2004 by Soulstation1 Quote
chris olivarez Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 A lot of close games but only one upset with Providence going down to Pacific.Onto round two. Quote
Soulstation1 Posted March 21, 2004 Author Report Posted March 21, 2004 shit my brackets are all funked-up now ss1 Quote
chris olivarez Posted March 21, 2004 Report Posted March 21, 2004 Introducing the new Cinderella-the Nevada Wolfpack. Quote
wesbed Posted March 21, 2004 Report Posted March 21, 2004 Introducing the new Cinderella-the Nevada Wolfpack. I hadn't had my TV on since Arizona lost on Thursday night. I was surprised, when checking the scores on the internet, on Saturday night, to learn that Nevada had taken care of Stanford. Quote
Noj Posted March 21, 2004 Report Posted March 21, 2004 Hey Wesbed--actually Nevada beat Gonzaga, and Stanford lost to Alabama. Quote
wesbed Posted March 21, 2004 Report Posted March 21, 2004 Hey Wesbed--actually Nevada beat Gonzaga, and Stanford lost to Alabama. You are correct. I feel dumb. Quote

Brandon Burke Posted March 22, 2004 Report Posted March 22, 2004 She's a big NCAA Basketball nut, and a Kansas Jayhawk, through and through. Mee too, though I don't see our Jayhawks going very far at all. I see them losing to Providence (if not sooner). Who knew I'd be more confident about my Royals than I am the Jayhawks..... Well, we didn't have to play Providence and now we aren't playing Kentucky. This is crazy. Heavy favorites are falling down in front of us and making a nice smooth path along the way. All eyes will be on our KU v. UAB this Friday...... Quote
Soulstation1 Posted March 25, 2004 Author Report Posted March 25, 2004 i've got illinois beating duke tonight st joes beating wake forest also texas, oklahoma st and uconn moving on Quote
chris olivarez Posted March 26, 2004 Report Posted March 26, 2004 Nevada isn't the only suprise team to make it to the round of 16. Alabama just defeated last years defending champion Syracuse and the tide roll onto the elite eight. Just my opinion but doesn't it seem that Kansas no matter how they're seeded always get the midwest region. Most suspicious. Quote
Brandon Burke Posted March 26, 2004 Report Posted March 26, 2004 (edited) Just my opinion but doesn't it seem that Kansas no matter how they're seeded always get the midwest region. Most suspicious. I hear what you're saying (and it's an awfuly tempting thing to say this year), but if you payed attention to them every year you'd realize the error in that statement. chris olivarez Posted March 26, 2004 Report Posted March 26, 2004 Probably but it sure seems that way. Quote
Soulstation1 Posted March 26, 2004 Author Report Posted March 26, 2004 that would be some funny shit, if kansas won it after williams leaves anyone but duke, anyone but duke ss1 Quote
