Dan Gould Posted February 8, 2004 Report Posted February 8, 2004 I just realized we're a bit less than a month away from the first anniversary of the death of the Blue Note BB and the birth of the glorious Organissimo BB! From the earliest registration dates I can see that March 6 was the day of death/resurrection and I think we need to celebrate the first birthday right. How about if everyone logs on at a particular time, like 12:00 PM Eastern time on March 6 (that way its 9 AM on the west coast and not too late in Europe) and we try to set the new record for most members online at the same time? And we do it by congregating in a single thread, "Happy Birthday Organissimo" where Jim can cut his cake: Quote
connoisseur series500 Posted February 8, 2004 Report Posted February 8, 2004 Great idea, Dan. I'm in! Quote

connoisseur series500 Posted February 8, 2004 Report Posted February 8, 2004 True enough, SS, but some like myself are unable to access the board while I'm at work. I have to come home to post. Can't do it at work. I vote for the Saturday. I'm sure we can all try to be available. And March 6th really is the true anniversary. Quote
patricia Posted February 8, 2004 Report Posted February 8, 2004 Good idea. I'll do my best to be here. MARCH 6, 12PM EASTERN TIME. I think that's around 9 or 10AM here. I'll check the time difference. I'm so easily confused, or as I like to think, charmingly eccentric. Quote
Matthew Posted February 8, 2004 Report Posted February 8, 2004 Heck Yeah!! But remind us. I'm at the stage in life where I have CRS. Can't remember ......ah, stuff. Quote
Peter Johnson Posted February 8, 2004 Report Posted February 8, 2004 Couldn't agree more, Dan--great idea. See you on the sixth!!! Quote
Out2Lunch Posted February 8, 2004 Report Posted February 8, 2004 Great Idea! March 6th is the date. Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted February 8, 2004 Report Posted February 8, 2004 March 6th is indeed the date where we opened our doors here. I can't believe it's only been a year... seems like this place has been around longer than that. By the post count you'd definately think so! Quote
couw Posted February 8, 2004 Report Posted February 8, 2004 who needs post count? what's the difference of Eastern Time with GMT? (think global) :rsly: Quote

So post wisely. :rsly: Quote

Brad Posted February 9, 2004 Report Posted February 9, 2004 Hmm, how do we coordinate our watches. Like one of those old spy movies? On your marks, get set..... Quote

Dan Gould Posted February 9, 2004 Author Report Posted February 9, 2004 Brad said: Hmm, how do we coordinate our watches. Like one of those old spy movies? On your marks, get set..... Well, people just need to hang in the thread for a few minutes before and after 12 pm, keep clicking "refresh" to see who all has "joined" the party. And when the party's "over", we should post this image: Quote
Out2Lunch Posted February 9, 2004 Report Posted February 9, 2004 Yeah, Sea-Weed Cake, Yeah!! I love it. Quote
mikeweil Posted February 9, 2004 Report Posted February 9, 2004 We all should coordinate our watches, and all play the same track of the Boogaloo Sisters CD at the same time. To really do this we would have to use local time, not time zones ..... Quote
