Mike Schwartz Posted June 7, 2013 Report Posted June 7, 2013 Couldn't find a thread with this topic. I know how to embed video from Youtube at other places. My first attempt here the text link posted as opposed to the video. Thanks in advance for your help. Quote
CraigP Posted June 8, 2013 Report Posted June 8, 2013 Yes, I had this question as well. Or maybe we can just post album covers! Quote
mjzee Posted June 8, 2013 Report Posted June 8, 2013 Click in the reply box, so you now see icons. On the top row of icons, click the third one from the left ("Special BBCode"). In the "Please Select" drop-down box, choose "Media." Then paste the YouTube URL in the "Media URL" box. Click OK. Quote

JSngry Posted June 8, 2013 Report Posted June 8, 2013 Maybe it's a browser thing, but I just paste the link & post. No tags needed. Quote
king ubu Posted June 8, 2013 Report Posted June 8, 2013 same here (latest version of Opera) if I use the embed icon, it screws things up (or it did when I last attempted), but plain link always seems to work! Quote
JSngry Posted June 8, 2013 Report Posted June 8, 2013 Just watch out what the link is. Sometimes I go from YT video to another, and the address changes prefixes from "www" to "https", the "s" maybe meaning "secure(d)" or something? Don't really know...but the https prefix will not populate the video. However, you can still get to the same video by moving out of/back into youtube until it comes up with a "www" prefix, and then, there you are. I have no idea why any of this works like it does, or how, just how I can make it work for me. Quote

Tim McG Posted June 9, 2013 Report Posted June 9, 2013 (edited) OK. Here we go: <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/B0XED9VI2cg?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> I'll try again: OK...so you just click "Copy video URL" and it works. Thanks. Got it. BTW, the drum solo @ 2:09 is very cool. Edited June 9, 2013 by GoodSpeak Quote
