mikeweil Posted March 8, 2014 Report Posted March 8, 2014 I guess there should be a prize for the first person to find an inverted piano. This digipak CD has a reverted photo of the harpsichord played inside - even more strange since the same photo is displayed correctly in the booklet. I'll scan it later. Quote

The Magnificent Goldberg Posted April 21, 2014 Report Posted April 21, 2014 So the guy who ain't Duke Ellington isn't Kenton, eh? I wouldn't know. So who is he?MG Quote
Swinging Swede Posted April 21, 2014 Report Posted April 21, 2014 So the guy who ain't Duke Ellington isn't Kenton, eh? I wouldn't know. So who is he? I think it is trumpeter Marvin Stamm. He played with Kenton in the early 1960s, but this photo must be rather recent. Odd choice. Quote
JSngry Posted April 22, 2014 Report Posted April 22, 2014 Marvin Stamm should sue the "stay thirsty, my friends" Most Interesting Man In The World Dos Equis guy for image infringement violations. Quote

The Magnificent Goldberg Posted May 4, 2014 Report Posted May 4, 2014 Is that a pre-beard Coleperson Hawkins?MG Quote
Swinging Swede Posted January 25, 2015 Report Posted January 25, 2015 (edited) Is that a pre-beard Coleperson Hawkins?MGYes. Hawkins played with Fletcher Henderson in 1923-1934 (and took some of his most amazing solos during that time). Although this photo is of much later vintage in any case.
