robertoart Posted February 21, 2013 Report Posted February 21, 2013 I like this quote better... "- much more melodic than I remembered". Quote
danasgoodstuff Posted February 21, 2013 Report Posted February 21, 2013 not youtubery, but a comment on Sanders & 'Trane - "It sounds like cows being slaughtered, but in a good way." Quote
Matthew Posted February 21, 2013 Report Posted February 21, 2013 Didn't someone have a comment from YouTube as their signature, something about "If you think Monk was the greatest piano player ever, you never heard the GREAT LIBERACE PLAY!" With misspelling and all? I always loved reading that one. Quote
Matthew Posted February 21, 2013 Report Posted February 21, 2013 That would be RDK. That's right, thanks Dan! Quote
danasgoodstuff Posted February 21, 2013 Report Posted February 21, 2013 I thought the Monk v. Liberace thing was from Amazon, that and Craigslist - same level of beligerent ignorance, yet I can't stop myself from reading them! Quote
medjuck Posted February 21, 2013 Report Posted February 21, 2013 I think it's a great quote but I'd point out that there are also people who feel sorry for someone who likes Oscar Peterson or Dave Brubeck. And somebody out there must enjoy Kenny G. Do we feel sorry for them? Quote
JSngry Posted February 22, 2013 Author Report Posted February 22, 2013 I think it's a great quote but I'd point out that there are also people who feel sorry for someone who likes Oscar Peterson or Dave Brubeck. And somebody out there must enjoy Kenny G. Do we feel sorry for them? I used to, I'll admit it. But not now, not really. I'm happy enough liking what I like for the reasons I like it and not liking what I don't like for the reasons I don't like. Which is not to say that I think that everybody's "right"...far from it. But I'm never wrong - for me. At least until I change my mind! Quote
PHILLYQ Posted February 23, 2013 Report Posted February 23, 2013 I was watching a Youtube clip of Petra Haden and 9 other women doing the Who's 'I Can see for Miles' acapella and live(It was excellent). One of the comments was 'Take that Autotune'. I nearly busted a gut laughing at that one. here's a link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VNFoNBz9Dbs Quote
