RiRiIII Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 I had no idea they now offer cheaper options for Int'l shipping. Very good news. Quote
king ubu Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 They don't, I think? It was (is?) just some father's day special (whatever father's day is supposed to be ... of course I had put in my huge order a couple of weeks before that) Quote
aparxa Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 The offer ends on Sunday 21st. The shipping fee was $15 for the Jordan & Mobley box sets, mighty fine! Quote

John Tapscott Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 Ellington Small Groups on its way here. Hope it's OK. Quote
ejp626 Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 It was tempting to go for the Carter/Bradford Select, but I know I won't listen to it enough.Instead, I ordered the Bud Freeman Chicago/Austin HS single and the new live Louis Armstrong box. (I also cleaned up my addresses with them. I had 3 or 4 old addresses on file!) Quote
jazzbo Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 Ellington Small Groups on its way here. Hope it's OK. That's an awesome set! (I also cleaned up my addresses with them. I had 3 or 4 old addresses on file!) Great choices. The Armstrong really delivers. Quote
mjzee Posted June 17, 2015 Report Posted June 17, 2015 He's got 12 different LP sets on Ebay now. Thanks for alerting us. I won the Art Hodes and Sidney Bechet auctions. Quote
stephenrr Posted June 17, 2015 Report Posted June 17, 2015 Yes, indeed! Thanks for pointing this out. I won the Cecil Taylor, Sam Rivers, Don Cherry, and Chet Baker Studio auctions....and snapped up a second-chance auction on a Bud Powell set. The CD sets are not so dear, but the LP sets seem hard to find at reasonable prices. Quote
bluesoul Posted June 19, 2015 Report Posted June 19, 2015 Carter/Bradford is gone. Only 4 Selects left! Quote
BFrank Posted June 19, 2015 Report Posted June 19, 2015 Carter/Bradford is gone. Only 4 Selects left! oh, WOW! I didn't realize that they were disappearing! It was a nice idea, but I guess the concept didn't work out for some reason. I should probably pick up the Sam Rivers while it's still available. Quote
hbbfam Posted June 19, 2015 Report Posted June 19, 2015 Carter/Bradford is gone. Only 4 Selects left! I received this recently. Terrific music and very good sound. Quote

bluesoul Posted July 15, 2015 Report Posted July 15, 2015 Looks like Mosaic updated the site today: The Bobby Hackett & Sam Rivers Selects along with the Quincy Jones set are now on Last Chance, and the Oscar Peterson set is now Running Low. Quote
Rooster_Ties Posted July 15, 2015 Report Posted July 15, 2015 The Sam Rivers Select is amazing.  A true gift that his most recent Florida big band was as well-documented as it was, between the 3 discs on the Select, plus Aurora. Don't miss out! Quote
sidewinder Posted July 15, 2015 Report Posted July 15, 2015 (edited) Just put my order in for the Sam Rivers and topped it off with a Charles Tolliver Select and Harold Land's 'Take Aim'. Cutting it fine again ! Edited July 15, 2015 by sidewinder Quote
Larry Kart Posted July 15, 2015 Report Posted July 15, 2015 Ordered the Wein in Mexico single (with Braff, Pee Wee and Bud Freeman) and the Clifford Jordan/Strata East box. Quote
RiRiIII Posted July 15, 2015 Report Posted July 15, 2015 My first musical nightmare since Greece's banking collapse starts. The Greek credit cards are blocked by our banking system for purchases abroad. However some cards may escape. So I tried to place my Mosaic order for the Sam Rivers Select. Cross your fingers...
