Hardbopjazz
Whatever happen to Ralph Moore? Did he stop playing? It's been several years since I've seen him play in New York, or even see he is on someone's recording. I really enjoyed his sound.

Tom 1960
It would be great to hear what Ralph is up to. I have a number of recordings mostly appearing as a sideman. I've always enjoyed his playing. I really wish he would get back into the studio!
DukeCity
Since the mid-90s RM has been a member of the band on Jay Leno's show, although I heard that there have recently been changes in the band.
Free For All
I heard that there have recently been changes in the band. I thought they stopped playing changes years ago?
AllenLowe
I believe he was referring to changes of undergarments.

Hardbopjazz
Ralph Moore is making an appearance in NY this week. Although I am not an advocate of concerts that recreate something from the past, I am fan of Ralph Moore and Renee Rosnes. I bought my ticket to this concert. "The Man With the Horn: The Music of Miles Davis" http://www.92y.org/Event/Jazz-In-July-Miles-Davis.aspxHow firm are set lists when preparing for a gig? Below is the set list for the concert. I like it better when tunes are randomly select, but I guess a working set list must be established before the show. Jeremy Pelt, trumpet Ralph Moore, tenor sax (a rare New York appearance) Steve Wilson, alto sax Renee Rosnes, piano Bill Charlap, piano Peter Washington, bass Lewis Nash, drums Program includes: “All Blues” “All of You” “Autumn Leaves” “Bye Bye Blackbird” “Dear Old Stockholm” “Donna Lee” “If I Were a Bell” “My Funny Valentine” “‘Round Midnight” “Someday My Prince Will Come”
mikeweil
Probably easier to get a gig with Miles' name than with just his own.
