coreymwamba Posted November 29, 2012 Report Posted November 29, 2012 I always post here too late - I read here but never think of posting! Anyway, if you're in the East Midlands I'm playing tomorrow. I've been commissioned by Derby Jazz to write a piece about the Orrery which appears in a painting by Joseph Wright. I'll be on vibes and conducting, with Dave Kane - bass Joshua Blackmore - drums Graham Clark - violin Tony Kofi - baritone saxophone Jan Kopinksi - tenor saxophone Deborah Jordan - voice Julian Siegel - bass clarinet Alex Suckling - trumpet Orrery will be played twice: first, as a promenade piece that uses the whole space in which the audience stands; and second as a more conventional set-up with chairs. Hope to see you there! C. Quote

coreymwamba Posted December 1, 2012 Author Report Posted December 1, 2012 Thank you all - it went very well! It was recorded, so I can post a link to the audio at some point. Sorry not to have posted here about the Worksop gig as well - that whole Nottinghamshire library tour was great! Quote
