Yeah keen as for the Shipp Duke album, looks like that'll be my first new release of 2015. Shipp's on a roll, the group's on a roll, and the connection with Ellington is mighty tasty. Link to the label's site here: http://web.roguart.com/shop/album/id/85?symfony=92b3498277ab9c3f86c82a62379855de

Samples are now available on the Rogue Art website and they sound really, really good (obvious low quality files on the website aside). Quite excited for this.

The Shipp disc is excellent. I received it last week and listened to it a few times already. You hear the Ellington, but you also get the Shipp. The combination of the two is captivating.

:tup It's been on fairly regular rotation in my house too. Yeah it's excellent.

In a confusing turn of events, it appears the last 10 CD titles issued by FMP will be (re?)released in the US on February 24. Dusty Groove also lists some of these as Coming Soon.

Anyone know what's up here?

Likewise the titles from the 2011 box set are available from the usual resellers in the US.

yeah, I also like the NotTwo quite a bit.

Yes, I'd forgotten about that one, must get it out (gets shelved elsewhere because of the oversized NotTwo sleeves)

I'd love to see him live

I've seen him live a couple of times and it's been quite rewarding.

Frode Gjerstad Trio + Steve Swell - At Constellation is out a mere 2.5 months after recording (a new land speed record?)

Anybody have any idea how to actually buy this CD? I really enjoyed hearing this group in Columbia, SC, and would like to buy a copy, but I can't find it anywhere.

Squidco has it.

Hmmm.... That's the first place I checked. I'll try again, and search some different ways.

Okay - found it. Their search engine is a little eccentric until you get used to it.

More eccentric than it used to be. Not sure what's going on.

Yeah, that one has my first interest also. And I have to say I'm also curious for the Pavone album with Matt Mitchell and Tyshawn Sorey

sale is ending March 15, I think ... ordered a dozen or so, these, I think:

Estilhaços - Steve Lacy Quintet

Life Between - Angelica Sanchez

Seeing you See - Keefe Jackson Quartet

Kullhammar / Aalberg / Zetterberg - Basement Sessions Vol.1

Union - Paradoxical Frog

Aurora - Sara Serpa / Ran Blake

Parallax - Eric Revis 11:11

"There Was..." - Aram Shelton's Arrive

Live in LA - Bobby Bradford/Mark Dresser/Glenn Ferris

Frog Leg Logic - Marty Ehrlich's Rites Quartet

Wiry Strong - Ralph Alessi and This Against That

Free Advice - MI3

Pillow Circles - Jorrit Dijkstra

Grünen - Kaufmann/Landfermann/Lillinger

Minaret Minuets - Scott Fields/Matthias Schubert

only received them last week, haven't come around to listening to most, as I mentioned elsewhere, I'm unsure about Serpa (love Blake though), but easily recommend the Bradford/Dresser/Ferris!
